Lesson 11, where are your prospects

Shouldn’t you be there too?

A few short years ago, we all met new prospective customers relying on one-to-one referrals, yellow pages, BNI Meetings, and Legal Directories.  The amount of time we spent in Kiwanis and Chamber of Commerce meetings talking to other people looking for clients was staggering.

Thanks to the massive explosion in online retail and all the incredible tools their size could afford to pioneer, small businesses and law firms have access to tools that would have been unheard of just a few short years ago.

Where are your clients?  Assume you’re a probate attorney.  What do almost all of your potential clients have in common in terms of “place.”  Odds are, they were at the funeral.  What if you could advertise to anyone on their phones (everyone checks their phone when waiting – we American’s are compulsive) in every funeral home in your area?

Of maybe, you serve Fortune 500 companies; you could send ads into every Fortune 500 office location (or headquarters) in your state, or just their legal department address.  Or Personal Injury attorney, placing ads in every pain management medical facility in your region.

When someone clicks your ad, you start to follow them on the internet.  Your fully automated system begins sending them ads every day.  The ads quietly tell them what you do and who you are and maybe a tip or two.  No sell, nothing but quiet, tasteful brand reinforcement. Once they are ready to take action and reach out to an attorney, then a friend online says “check out XYZ firm” on Facebook.  Because Facebook recognizes the firm name, that online referral automatically puts a link to your Facebook presence.  When they click to your Facebook presence, they can contact you directly or with Facebook Messenger or phone, leave a message, click through to your site or LinkedIn.  Or, you can connect them with whatever social media platform they might use.  Meet them where they are!

What if that could be configured once and put on autopilot?

What if those ads took an investment less than your office’s monthly coffee supply bill, not the thousands that your competition is spending on Google Pay Per Click for a one-time exposure?

A large part of the strategy we are working on now is “omnipresent,” having a visual presence wherever your prospective clients might be and following up being in front of them until they are ready to take action.

Most importantly, being omnipresent by leveraging technology and automation to do it efficiently and inexpensively.
