Explain Why 3 Courses

Great Question.  Each “Course” consists of multiple “Classes”.   Each class is a self-contained “chunk” of information.  For instance, there might be a “chunk” that covers Google My Business.   There might be a chunk that has no technical skills but discusses motivation and organization.   Each COURSE will move you closer to the ideal of being one of the top marketers in your specialty, in your area.  The first course is free.  It gives you a taste of the training to come.  Simply taking the first course, will move you far ahead of most firm’s digital marketing.   Each subsequent course is intended to make you more and more a stronger marketer.   In our experience, mastering the 3 courses will make the fundamentals of your marketing strategy head and shoulders above other law firm’s efforts.

You seem "down" on most digital agencies.. why?

As an attorney, you have a certain minimum educational and ethical standard that you must adhere to.   The Digital Marketing business, does not.   Of course, there are bad actors in every business, and if you pass the bar exam by 1%, you are an attorney.   There is a long standing joke “don’t forget half of all attorneys grauduatied in the bottom 50% of their class.   For many, a Digital Marketing Career is spawned by dreams of the notebook lifestyle, running on autopilot.  Well meaning people opt in to the agency dream, without background skills.  There are legions of marketers, shady, that market to agencies, and potential agency owners.  Their claim to fame is invest $99 in this course, and as a bonus we will create a 100% done for you agency.

 

I am the owner of an agency.   My marketing career started in the early ’80’s meaning that  HOF starts with foundational knowledge, that is totally independent from digital.  We start with a foundation.   We also spend at least 15% of our work week learning.  It used to be that just having a website was enough to drive traffic to your firm.  Today, marketers are less trusted than any time in history.   It takes effort to ensure that long before people do business with you, they already know like and trust you.   That is very difficult when most buyers of agencies services do not understand what goes into a real marketing strategy, so they revert to buying based on price, and margins narrow, creating a manic race to the bottom.

 

I have yet to see, in 20 years. of digital marketing and over 3 decades of traditional marketing, a single website built by a so-called “expert” that gets even the basics done right.   What makes us the judge and jury of what is basics?  To start with, when it comes. to organic search, we listen to Google, we follow the rule book that they publish… it’s in the second course, lesson #6, straight from Google.   

So, if Google publishes an easy-to-follow guide on what it takes to rank on search engines, and every single site we have evaluated falls massively short of their best practices, is it any wonder we have little faith in the majority of agencies.  Of course, there is far more than a search to being an effective marketer, but we see similar examples in every site we review.
